What are the different options for creating a handleless kitchen?

A handleless kitchen is one that removes handles from the kitchen cabinets. However, there still needs to be an easy way to open and close the cabinets. There are different options for this, including:

  • Push or touch cabinets- these are cabinet doors that release when pushed or touched and automatically close again when not in use. This is the most effective option as it removes the need for an external handle at all, although this can be more expensive to install.
  • Inset handle kitchen cabinets- these are cabinets with a handle that is inset to the front of the cabinet door and so does not obtrude or take attention away from the design overall.

What are the advantages of handleless kitchen design?

There are a number of advantages and benefits to choosing a handleless kitchen. These advantages include:

  • A streamlined design- handleless kitchen design creates a streamlined space that complements a contemporary kitchen space effectively. This is because without handles, the kitchen cabinets have a sleek, smooth finish with no visual disruption to the design
  • Easier to clean- touch to open handleless kitchen cabinets can be much easier to clean as crumbs and dirt will not get stuck on the handle creating a breeding ground for bacteria. Instead, with only the cabinet doors themselves to clean, the kitchen can be much easier to maintain.
